Virtual Panel: Remote Engineering Roundtable

Virtual Panel: Remote Engineering Roundtable

Work from home doesn't have to sacrifice speed, culture, or nuance, though many teams through inexperience or inattention let it do exactly that.

COVID-19 has scrambled just about everything. Suddenly, teams of all kinds whether prepared or not, are finding themselves figuring out how to operate remotely.

We decided there could be no better time to gather some thought-leaders to discuss best practices, tools, and tips to effectively operate remote engineering teams. So that's what we've done. We want to help, and this seems like a great way to do exactly that.

We have been remote since day one at Merico, operating across five time zones and three languages. Like others, we have had our share of successes and failures in getting tools, systems, and processes in place that work for our people, product, and culture.

Next week, join me and four other engineering leaders for a virtual panel where we will discuss our experiences building remote-first development teams, transitioning to WFH, and the lessons learned along the way.

You will leave the discussion with fresh ideas and insights, as well as practical suggestions on tools, services, and techniques to remove the headaches from remote software development. All you need is an hour to sit with a laptop, your headphones, and a good cup of coffee, with many of us in quarantine, that shouldn't be hard to do!

I hope you'll join us for this timely conversation! See you next week!
