Virtual Entertainment - Is it a replacement for live events?

Virtual Entertainment - Is it a replacement for live events?

Over the course of the last few months and the effects of that dreaded virus. I won't name it as I am sure you are already bored of hearing about it. We have, like all other events companies, had to diversify our offerings to our clients. This, of course, has come with its own hurdles to overcome but I for one have actually found it rather enlightening.

What have we done as a brand?

At Julia Charles Event Management we have looked at how we are able to help our clients tackle the same issues they have come to us for solutions on for many years. The only difference is social distancing. Yes, this is a big difference and the fact that no live events are able to go ahead means that team building, entertainment, live engagement and all the other pleasantries of social interaction events have come to a grinding halt? Right? well not quite!

Now do not get me wrong, Virtual entertainment and any virtual event platform for that matter will not stand as a long term substitute for the social engagement, face to face that we need. However, it does help in the short term.

With this in mind, we have brought together a crack team of extremely talented and professional entertainers and event suppliers to create some shows and team building activities specifically for conference calls such as Zoom or Go To Meeting (or any other conference calling software for that matter)

What have we created for clients so far?

We are adding to our virtual services daily so I would suggest keeping updated on our website. The services we have done for clients successfully so far would range from

Virtual Magic shows

Virtual food carving workshops (this is brilliant for getting your team's creative juices flowing) take a look at the video on how it works https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYOupUU1Ki0&feature=emb_title

Virtual murder mystery

Who is booking this type of service?

So far this has become such a diverse service with the likes of Deloitte and Johnson and Johnson booking Virtual magic shows and illusionist for their sales conference calls. It is not just the corporate sector who have taken a liking to our new offerings. We, of course, have many private clients who are feeling the effects of social distancing and have even created online/virtual birthday party packages which have been extremely successful.

Why your company should book a virtual entertainer?

After some of the zoom calls we have been lucky enough to create shows for, we have seen some great feedback from our clients. From a boost in team morale to an increase in productivity. This is all the way form interns to CEO level and we do not see this changing much any time soon. Due to the lockdown measures looking to continue we expect to see an increase in virtual events and entertainment and perhaps might become one of our core services in the months to come. This means that clients of ours are looking for new ways to keep their staff's morale and creativity high by bring some form of excitement to their regular calls.

The Reach

Many of course clients are based in the UK and many are based all over the globe. With travel restrictions, Virtual events and entertainment have become the best way of bringing the value of event services to your clients and your staff. we have successfully set up conference call entertainment and shows for clients all over the world and this too has seen great success.

Financial benefits

To do a live event right you should know that you may have to put your hand in your pocket. Now although you, of course, do not get the same ROI on virtual events they are still extremely great value for money. Some of our virtual shows cost a fraction of the price as they did if they were live events.

Conclusion

So will virtual events and entertainment be a replacement for live events? The answer is yes for the time being but in the long run, No!.

Although we do expect our clients to keep booking this type of service even when the social distancing measures have passed, there is nothing like the real thing. It is of course not easy to launch products without being face to face with your customers, the best way of presenting to vast amounts of delegates is still going to be live and in colour.
