Virginia DCJS and ALERRT: Building Resiliency Across the Commonwealth

Virginia DCJS promotes the Whole Community Approach, the means by which our civilian stakeholders (Immediate Responders) can collectively understand and assess the needs of their safety to determine the best ways to mitigate & strengthen their resiliency during emergency situations.

This involves engaging government, business, faith-based, education, non-profit, and community groups with the goal of collaborative training & preparedness.

Professional thanks to Chief Steve Patterson & Deputy Chief Bob Porti for their proactive work in bringing CRCC to the Franklin/Southampton communities. Your hospitality to the cadre was second to none!

Please join DCJS and the initiative of building a prepared Commonwealth from Cumberland Gap, to Winchester, to the Eastern Shore.

Remember...the only thing harder than planning for an emergency is explaining why you didn't.

Contact Virginia DCJS Active Shooter Training Coordinator, Janice Cosel at (804) 225-4334 or [email protected] to schedule CRCC sessions for your agency, jurisdiction, or K-12/higher ed institution.
