Virginia ABC Procurement Division develops, enriches relationships during SWaMfest
Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority
Bringing good spirits and excellent service to Virginia.
SWaMfest, the Commonwealth’s premier networking, educational and professional development event for small, women-owned and minority-owned (SWaM) businesses, returned to an in-person format for the first time since 2019. Hosted by the Virginia Association of State College & University Purchasing Professionals (VASCUPP), #SWaMfest took place Oct. 26-27 at Richmond’s Main Street Station.?
This year’s theme was “Verses – Unleash Untapped Potential.”
Melissa Watts, Monte Dugger, Rudy Reynolds and Sheri Newman from Virginia ABC’s #Procurement division attended SWaMfest. The team was able to establish new connections and reacquaint themselves with established Virginia ABC vendors.
The Virginia ABC team connected with numerous #SWaM vendors capable of providing goods and services to meet Virginia ABC’s business needs: those offering promotional products, printing services, marketing and advertising services, facilities and maintenance products, IT goods and services, staffing and consulting services, electrical services and more. There were 124 registered exhibitors in attendance for the Vendor Affair.
SWaMfest is known for the enthusiastic interactions among VASCUPP institutions, prime contractors, corporations, state agencies, non-profit organizations, and the small, women-owned, and minority-owned business community.
Virginia ABC is committed to working with SWaM businesses.
Through the support of VASCUPP and events like SWaMfest, Virginia’s SWaM community has the help it needs to remain strong, vibrant and successful.
