Virag Vadkerti of Levi's: We created the inspiring work culture

Virag started in retail in 2007. In that year she joined the world-famous Levi Strauss & Co. brand and has been working there ever since. She's now the HR Partner for Czech & Hungary.

I love that I combine a typical office job with visits to stores and traveling. I like to be on the move happy to be able to visit employees in person to gain first-hand insight into their needs. So I can be a better partner in the business. I appreciate that the company provides the tools and possibilities to support business in such an authentic way,” she explains.

I am most proud of our Prague Na Prikope street location opened in July 2019 in a historical building with the biggest sales area in Eastern Europe,“ says Virag.

With cooperation between local artists, musicians, and influencers, Levi‘s was able to create an awesome space for creativity.

What keeps Virag inspired and full of new ideas? It's the caring approach and Levi’s unique work culture.

“It is not possible to be inspired just by success, great working environment is important, too.”

As for recruitment in Czechia, Virag finds sourcing and retaining particularly challenging. Levi’s store's average employee age is 25, therefore it is sometimes challenging to develop their persistence, patience towards their growth, and invested time in something new. But Levi’s retail business is booming with plans to open new stores in 2022. Stay tuned!
