VIP Packages - Improving a once in a lifetime experience!

VIP Packages - Improving a once in a lifetime experience!

I provide my services to many of these events and take genuine pride in ensuring the requirements for many touring artists in their private backstage environments are taken care of, so I write this article from a unique viewpoint and depth of experience that not many can do.

Conversing regularly with tour management and the people that operate these private and expensive events on the artists' behalf, has encouraged me to think differently to what is the norm here, after all its about giving the most value to those who pay the most for the privilege, and at the same time making sure the subjects are not out of place with what they need to offer.

Bands in 2018 are now realizing the importance of touring more and we are now seeing far more of the older bands that went into hibernation back out on the road again. There will always be some bands that won't tour again, due to break-ups and deaths of members, but most now see that they can make really good new and controllable income by way of performing live again. A major part of this touring process is the VIP packages they offer to their adoring fans. These VIP Packages are also some of the most lucrative areas of their tours and they stand to make many thousands more if they offer them for sale.

VIP packages for meeting & greeting a celebrity of any kind are pretty standard across the board, and yes if you pay for the top level package you hopefully do get to finally meet and have a photo with your idol, but the ways that this can happen can be far more creative and with much more long lasting value.

Most VIP package levels consist of

"Silver" package which means great or near front seats, a few extras thrown in like unsigned posters, a special VIP lanyard/laminate and that's about it really. in essence, people are really paying for the upgraded seating.

"Gold" package normally provides all the above, possibly front row seating, a few extras but maybe a signed poster a keyring and a showbag pack with the official program inside. Along with this, access to an exclusive function room to enjoy a few wines and beers with some small foods....no appearance by the artist. This is sometimes all that people need to feel special, but this is an area that can be developed with much more value in the package I feel.

Then there is the "Platinum" package where you can reach the holy grail and actually meet your star. You will get all the above package inclusions, and you will also be ushered into a private room along with the other Platinums to fraternise with the band or the artist. There you may also get a quick selfie or even better a structured well organised professional photo which you will be given a code to access on DropBox at a later stage.

I am not at all saying that these packages are wrong or not giving enough for the paying public, however, I am keen to develop a new design platform for these packages which will be individually unique and memorable with every artist.

I want to use the mind of the artist themselves to assist with the design of how they want their fanbase to take home with them a great experience, not just what I hear all to regularly that the VIP was a rip off and we only got 1 few seconds with the star for our $$$$. I also hear that some stars don't appear at all, leaving a trail of disheartened and ripped off people that will only spread the negative experience...not only to their friends but also on social media. This ultimately does irreparable damage to the artists and how they are perceived in the public eye.

The band's management on tour is tight with time and this is understandable, however, this is a major area that needs to be separated from the hustle of the tour itself, where we need to work with them on to ensure that all who pay the extra money to gain a limited and exclusive opportunity are in fact taken seriously and not just given the standard off the shelf packages.

The ideas for individuality are endless and StarStruck VIP Services are now the pioneers in making these valued VIP Experiences high valued experiences where everybody including the artist, wins.

There is a band that played opening act for Ringo star 4 years ago when he toured Australia www.Mojojacket.com they are amazing two brothers they can basically sing anything and probably some of the best guitarists in the world I can get a hold of them for you as they are my friends and started busking our front of the crown casino on the Yarra in Victoria Australia.

An interesting perspective. The VIP packages I have experienced never really seemed worth the money. But I am reminded of award shows I worked where we were able to attended private after parties in nearby dance clubs. You were likely to run into the talent or other special guests, and there was often private performances, free food and beverage, and an all-around cool vibe in what was basically our own little private dance party. That environment was unique and worth every dollar to get in. The talent seemed to like hanging out in the party too; it created a place to unwind after their performances and people attending the party -- for the most part -- left the talent alone, other than maybe a handshake every now and then. Customizing the VIP package to the artist is an amazing idea too... KISS fans are clearly a different demographic than Ed Sheeran fans and would require an entirely different experience to leave fulfilled. I love this :)
