This month I'll share some new feature updates from Wix and a recent VIP Design Day project.

Studio Editor: control positioning and spacing more intuitively

Wix have updated the controls for docking, margins padding and gaps in the Inspector panel to make them smoother and more intuitive to use. You’ll find padding and gaps under the Layout category in the Inspector, and Docking and Margins can still be found under the Position category. They've also made it easier to switch between units on all sides when working with padding, gaps and margins.

Control element colour from a new CMS field type

There’s a new colour field for CMS collections that you can connect to elements on the canvas including text, buttons and section backgrounds. This allows site collaborators to control element colours from the collection.

Wix Bookings: Customise pricing by service duration

Better cater to your customers by allowing them to price appointments by duration. For example, you can charge more for a 90-minute session than a 60-minute one. This new capability enables your customers to choose the length of their desired service while generating revenue more effectively.

Enhance your site navigation with the new unified menu component

Design a single menu that works seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile. Customise each breakpoint with its own layout and design adjustments, ensuring a consistent and optimised experience for your visitors.

Leverage advanced design capabilities to create menus that reflect your site's unique style. Enjoy improved support for sub-items in mega menus - even on mobile devices - allowing you to organize your content more effectively. Plus, it’ll include animation presets so you can add movement to the menu.

Enhance the customer experience with AI Site-Chat

Offer round-the-clock customer support with AI.

This user-friendly chat assistant integrates seamlessly with any Wix Studio site. After a simple installation, the AI scans and learns your business - offering personalised recommendations to site visitors based on products, services, content, and more.

Customers can use the chat to get their questions answered and be directed to specific products and pages based on what they’re looking for. This kind of enhanced shopping assistance keeps visitors on-track to make a purchase, while also helping your client collect more leads.

AI Site-Chat allows you to quickly deliver a custom chat experience that’s tailored to your brand. You can also set boundaries and preferences for the AI Chat interactions, ensuring it follows specific guidelines or avoids certain topics.

?? From Website Confusion to Customer Conversions ??

Just wrapped up a VIP Design Day, and this one was a game-changer. The client’s site wasn’t just in need of a redesign. It needed a complete reorganisation to improve the customer journey, boost conversions, and make sure every page worked strategically.

Here’s what we focused on:

? Restructured content and navigation to make sure visitors can instantly find what they need, whether they land on the homepage or a service page.

? Lead magnets and automation to capture leads, set up upsells, and automate follow-ups that keep customers engaged.

? Service and portfolio setup to showcase wedding flowers, funerals, courses, and shop services in a way that makes sense.

And because a great website needs to be found, we followed up with an SEO Boost.

?? Before: Not ranking in the top 100 for key search terms.

?? After: Showing up on page 1 for several keywords and on page 2 or 3 for more competitive ones. A huge leap in visibility.
