Level 1 – “Pool Level”
The magnificent entrance takes you into the main level, or “Pool Level” of the villa. So as you walk through the front doors you will be confronted with a stunning view that guides your eyes across the grassed courtyard, through the Frangipani tree, over the sunken living room and one section of the pool, into the magnificent bay and ocean beyond. The dining room is perched on one section of the pool which then wraps around the bar and living room and finishes on the terrace of Bed 1. Sun decks are positioned around the pool, all with 180-degree views of the ocean, mountains and coconut fields, which are all enjoyed best while lying on the huge day bed island that floats on water. The sunken living room is wrapped by daybeds with the bar at one end perched over the deck by the pool. The fully equipped gym looks out over the courtyard and the pool, positioned to make you feel suitably guilty when lying by the pool with a cocktail at hands reach.
There are two winding staircases that lead from the pool level, one goes up and one goes down.
Level 2 – “BBQ Roof Top”
The BBQ rooftop offers the most stunning views, hard to describe, better to witness first hand. There is a kitchen island up here on the covered deck along with the BBQ, a lounge and a Japanese style sunken dining room. Once you are here, you don’t need to go back down. The roof over the decked area is mostly glass with columns no walls of course. There is a sun bed on the deck perfect for afternoon massages and all of this is surrounded by a gorgeous grassed area perfect for freeing the city feet, rolling around or picnics with a stunning view. Sunsets up here are breathtaking.
Level 3 – “The Entertainment Area”
You will pass bedroom 2, walk the red carpet through the archival film posters down to the Entertainment area. Wine Cellar, Leather Sofas, Pool Table, sensual powder room and of course the 8 seater theater, this area was designed as a retreat from the heat or for night time entertainment, but once inside, it is very hard to leave. Just outside the entertainment area are beds 3 and 4 separated by a window in the ceiling, or porthole through the pool, those swimming in the pool and the sky beyond.
“Rooms”
All rooms have indoor and outdoor bathrooms with views of the ocean, private decking, flat screens with cable television, blue tooth speakers and black out curtains.
“Music”
All of the communal areas have speakers with controls that can remotely control your I-phones or iPods, which can be docked in the theater.
“Architect”
Villa Sangkachai has been fortunate to be born from the mind of the multiple award-winning architect Gary Fell of Gfab Architects
