Vikas , Vicar and Vivek - Develop , Disorder and Distinguish!

Are these words philosophy ?

Are these words scriptures?

Are these words individual specific or have social relevance?

Are these? words relevant to the corporate world ?

Are they standalone or related?

They are related and the answer to all above is ‘Yes’!

I have always been incessant and ardent believer in the theory that , every thing in this world is related. It coincidentally matches with the Buddhist philosophy where nothing happens on an individual element level , every thing is connected and related. Hence philosophy is related to physics , mysticism is related to quantum physics , psychology is related with electricity , neurology is connected to sociology. I am sure this may not be palatable to many of readers but just hold on and try reflecting , what I am talking about.

Development and growth gets associated with ‘Vikas’. Disorder destruction and decay gets associated with ‘Vicar'. Knowing the difference between the two is termed as ‘ Vivek’. The propounder of the words and language knew the relatedness of the world, and hence ensured the relatedness of the words.

How relevant are these words to the business ? As much as relevant to any other field.

Business organisation use the word growth and development , annual growth , CARG , new market development , learning and development of people in the organisation etc. All falling with in the meaning of the word ‘Vikas’.

Vicar - Less Fair?practices in business , by passing laws , quantity not quality , short term, profiteering , fraudulent finance , etc , all falling in the meaning of the word ‘ Vicar’.

Vivek - Knowing the difference between Vikas and Vicar is what is called Vivek.

The point to ponder , irrespective of any field , is the connect between these three words and the wisdom that is present in them. All developments are changes so are the disorders All Vikas is parivartan and so is the Vicar but knowing? the right parivartan is Vivek. I remember reading ; doings things right is being ‘efficient’ but doing right thighs is being ‘effective’. Effective has the Vivek element , it distinguishes between the desired and not desired. Vikas , uncontrolled can give birth to disorder and hence one needs patience and ability to distinguish between development and destruction. The seed of Vicar is there in Vikas and the moment right climate emerges or arrives , Vicar shall spring up.

Economic growth is related with more consuming , more consuming means more production and the cycle will flow , eventually leading to over all increase in consumption. More consumption , more production , more environmental challenges , more natural disasters and finally the balancing?by the Vivek of the Prakriti. Business organisation also need to understand the relationship among these realities or the disaster will happen. Interestingly , it all happens very silently , what keeps looking as growth is de growth and what appears to be development in short term is stepping in to destruction , if the Vivek is absent.

The excessive usage of technological marvel called cellphone is an example of Vikas giving birth to many Vikar as the Vivek is kept on the loft. Growth in? automobiles industry is step towards traffic disorder and pollution. Battery driven is half baked solution with major side effects .Disposing the battery waste would be a serious environmental challenge , we are yet to handle the current E Waste properly , we are heading to generate more under the guise of morbid development but it is Vicar

The politics of Vikas in organisation , society and country is age old. Leader have played around these words to the benefit of theirs personal and political interest , not the true development. Normal cells and malignant cells , the difference is only of the Vivek .

Average age of fortune 500 companies is around 30 years while the potential age is couple of hundreds ! What make some organisation live longer , healthier and lasting is - VIVEK

However, it must be balanced with environmental sustainability to ensure long-term health and prosperity. ?
