1. Explore the newest investment themes introduced by Yoann Ignatiew, the Fund Manager of R-co Valor, one of Rothschild & Co's longstanding investment strategies.
"The recent turmoil at Silicon Valley Bank, First Republic Bank and Credit Suisse sent shockwaves throughout the global financial landscape, putting the solidity of the US and European banking systems to the test. A crisis of confidence and bank runs rocked the industry, leaving investors on edge. Fortunately, governments and central banks were quick to take actions so far, leveraging the hard-learned lessons of the 2008 financial crisis to contain the damage. However, as the dust begins to settle, the full extent of the impact and its aftermath remain difficult to predict. Against this backdrop of uncertainty, Yoann Ignatiew takes center stage, revealing his current positioning and investment focus through his 3.5 billion euros (April 2023) global flexible fund, tracing its roots back to 1994."

2. Emmanuel Petit, Head Fixed Income at Rothschild & Co Asset Management to meet with investors in Zurich and Geneva on June 21 and June 22.
Emmanuel, who is responsible for overseeing the fixed income business of the division, is set to host two exclusive luncheons in Zurich and Geneva next month. With a portfolio of over 12 billion euros (April 2023) invested across a range of credit strategies, some of which he pioneered nearly 15 years ago, Emmanuel will seek to share his insights into the fixed income markets. He plans to discuss his current positioning and provide his outlook for the second half of 2023, which is beset by challenges due to the uncertainty of a soft or hard landing, stagflation, or no landing at all. Despite these challenges, Emmanuel will explain how he intends to seize opportunities and navigate through the uncertainties.
In anticipation of his upcoming visit next month, Emmanuel provides a brief preview of his investment strategy. Against a backdrop of uncertainty surrounding the evolution of monetary policies, Petit offers his opinion on the impact of inflation on his unconstrained credit strategies. This provides a succinct and straightforward glimpse into his thinking and a nice preview of what to expect during his visit.

Yet, core inflation is still stubbornly high while banking sector woes make it clear that the most aggressive tightening cycle in decades is taking its toll. Correspondingly, central banks will have to balance the risks between price and financial stability. To find out more, read the latest macroeconomic analysis by our Chief Economist Marc-Antoine Collard, which we will share with you each month going forward.
