Viewpoint: What if the COVID Vaccine Just Goes Away?

?? Our furnace was having death throes. I had hoped that it would hold on until late summer or early fall 2025, but two different furnace companies gave us almost word for word reports. A funeral was in the offing.

?? ?The furnace came with the house we purchased seven years ago. When the house was inspected, we were told that the furnace was about six years old and that some furnaces last 30 years. Not ours.

?? But moaning and groaning about the cost of the new furnace isn’t where this is going. Promise.

?? ?The technician from the company we liked best spent a lot of time doing paperwork, and then waiting for approval of a wonderful two year-no interest plan, so that we could make the new furnace ours. ?? Somehow, we got off topic and I mentioned that Lori and I hadn’t taken the COVID vaccine. He was more than willing to share that there was no way he was going to ‘shoot that stuff into his body let alone the bodies of his children.’

?? He and his wife had COVID three times each, which beat Lori and I who each had it twice. Un like us, he shared he had two family members who had died of the disease, but that both had serious pre-existing conditions.

?? Which finally brings me to the point. President Donald Trump has set the stage for the suspension or complete ban of the COVID vaccine. On Valentine’s Day he signed an executive order halting federal funds for schools that continue to force students to be vaccinated.

? ?He has reinstituted military service people who were ‘unjustly discharged’ for refusal to take the injection.

?? Thanks to media pressure and threats of getting fired or socially ostracized, more than 270 million Americans have gotten the COVID shots.

?? Many Americans have indicated remorse about getting talked into the vaccine; and Trump’s nominee to head the National Institute of Health signed a petition urging the immediate suspension of all COVID vac cines because he, Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, has concerns about the chilling spike in deaths worldwide.

?? ?Among them are FBI Deputy Director, Dan Bongino, who describes it as ‘the biggest mistake of my life’. And TV’s Megyn Kelly said, “I’m sorry I did that to myself. I regret getting the vaccine. I don’t think I needed it. I think I would have been fine.”

?? Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, has previously sought to revoke the authorization of all COVID vaccines, stating that the risks far outweigh the benefits.

?? An article in the Daily Iowan dated March 3 was headlined, Iowa lawmakers advance bill that would ban COVID vaccines.

?? On the other side of the table, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that over 1.2 million individuals in the U.S. died by January 1, 2020.

?? Dr. John Crosbie, a family medicine physician and professor at Des Moines University, said it would be difficult to imagine himself sitting here today if it hadn’t been for the COVID-19 vaccine.

?? ?But in the same article, Traci Ciepiela, an Iowa resident, said she was personally harmed by the Pfizer vaccine. She experienced several physical impairments shortly after receiving the vaccine, along with a severe lack of medical support.

?? “This shot stole the basics of my life. I used to be a triathlete,” she said. “I enjoyed biking daily. I can’t even pedal anymore. I can’t keep up with yard work. I can’t keep up with housework because it’s just simply too painful for me to walk or stand for any length of time.”

?? What do you think? My hope is that those of us who aren’t enamored with the vaccine will be kinder than those who forced, threatened, and took away a lot of people’s livelihoods when they wouldn’t get vaccinated.

Quel bonheur !
