Peter Dijkstra, Chief Commercial Officer, Trymax Semiconductor Equipment B.V.2022 was another record breaking year for Trymax Semiconductor Equipment B.V., an all-time high. Despite the problems we encountered due to supply chain issues, the order intake has exceeded expectations.

Trymax benefited in the beginning of the year from the continuous need of IC-Analog (RF filters & 5G) and the second half was clearly for the automotive (power electronics) market. To be able to cope with the increasing systems demand Trymax has applied lean manufacturing as the way of working for the brand new manufacturing facility.

The 2023 outlook for Trymax is promising, although we experienced already that customers are becoming more careful. The orderbook for H1/23 is running full and new orders for H2/23 are under discussion. The major challenge in 2022 was the supply chain management. We faced multiple suppliers who weren't able to keep their promised supply date and quantities, but the Trymax team did a great job by thinking out of the box and using their creativity to solve the issues.

Sales and business development travel is picking up and it was great to see customers, colleagues and suppliers face to face at several events like SEMICON Europa and SEMICON West. The manpower, material shortage and the economic restriction's between USA and China will guarantee another challenging year.

I'm convinced that 2023 will be another year in which we have to demonstrate our ability to adapt to situations as they appear, but this is also demonstrating the strength of the Trymax organization.
