If you have been following our posts and newsletters you will be aware that the latest HoloLens OS update (RS4) has yielded some massive benefits to BIM Holoview users. While the performance and projection stability have both noticeably improved, the biggest benefit for BIM Holoview has been the increased memory capacity. This has enabled us to increase our previous maximum file size of 300 MB to 400 MB for our Business subscribers.

Now that RS4 has been generally available to all subscribers via the Windows Update we assume that most of you will have had your HoloLens upgraded via the Windows Update process. And to recognise this we have also increased the file size limits for users on the Individual Subscriptions from 120 MB to 200 MB.  

However, if you are still running the old version of the HoloLens OS please let us know view email as there is a setting we need to apply in the database to change how the models are processed. You will still be able to upload files up to 200 MB but our server will need to apply an additional optimization step to make sure the HoloLens doesn't run out of memory when the model is being loaded on the HoloLens.
