Chili is a popular spice sold in the world, commonly used in dishes. Not only that, the color of chili can also be used for decoration and has many health benefits. Spicy food is an indispensable part of the daily meals of people in most Asian countries. Countries famous for spicy food are China, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Bhutan, Korea, etc. In China, the regions of Henan and Sichuan use a lot of chili, ginger and pepper.

Regarding the Vietnam Pepper Association (VPA), In the first 11 months of the year, Vietnam exported 10,027 tons of chili, with a total export turnover of 24.3 million USD. Compared to the same period last year, the export volume increased by 5% and the turnover increased sharply by 30.6%. China is Vietnam's largest chili export market, reaching 7,765 tons, accounting for 77% of the market share. This country has been the largest chili export market in recent years.

According to some experts, because Vietnamese chili is highly spicy and has many different types such as Chi Thien chili pepper, hot chili pepper, yellow horn chili pepper... all very spicy, it is favored by this market. Chili prices are expected to increase slightly at the beginning of 2025 due to high demand ahead of the Lunar New Year.
