The Vienna BioCenter Summer School Welcomes the 2024 cohort!
Introducing Laura Bartkova to the Vienna BioCenter Summer School! Laura Bartkova holds a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from 英国伦敦大学 - 伦敦国王学院 . Her goal is to generate 3D reconstructions of Ubr5 and the 26S proteasome using cryo-EM images at various temperatures to study conformational dynamics and its significance in physiology in David Haselbach group at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) .
Thrilled to have Julen Casulleras at the Vienna BioCenter Summer School! Julen holds a double degree in Biology and Environmental Sciences from the Universidad de Navarra . His project investigates the putative common features of a diapause-like state across fish species in Andrea Pauli 's group at Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) , studying the exciting world of diapause. Julen is also one of the student representatives in this year’s school.
Thrilled to welcome Bernardo Chombo-álvarez to the Vienna BioCenter Summer School! Bernardo is in his third year of Bachelor Studies in Genomic Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). His project contributes to gaining insights into potential genomic regulation and involved cell populations in hormone-dependent regeneration in P. dumerilii in the Raible group at Max Perutz Labs Vienna .

She is working with Thomas Juffmann 's group in Quantum Imaging and Biophysics at Max Perutz Labs Vienna , aiming to enhance her experience in Transmission Electron Microscopy.
