Viega Celebrates Manufacturing Day with Local High Schools
On October 3rd and 4th, the Viega McPherson facility welcomed over 200 high school students from Circle High School, McPherson High School, Hillsboro High School, and Inman High School to Viega to celebrate Manufacturing Day with us. It was an exciting opportunity for students to tour the facility, learn about advanced manufacturing, and experience the innovative processes that shape our industry.
Manufacturing Day at Viega is not just a day of celebration, but a day of inspiration. It offers young people a firsthand look at the future of modern manufacturing and serves as the launch pad for our apprentice programs: Explore, Experience, and Earn.
These programs not only introduce students to the possibilities within advanced manufacturing but also instill in them the skills needed for future careers in this field. We take pride in showcasing our values of quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement, and we are excited to pass on this legacy to the next generation of manufacturing professionals.
The tours offered students an engaging introduction to our industry-leading products and processes and the many opportunities available to those pursuing a career in manufacturing. Their curiosity and excitement were inspiring as they learned more about what we do here at Viega.
We eagerly look forward to the next wave of talent shaping the future of manufacturing. We are committed to continuing this journey with them, helping them explore the endless possibilities in manufacturing, and supporting them as they build their careers.
We also want to give a special shout-out to the Manufacturing Institute, led by Carolyn L. , the President and Executive Director of the nonprofit workforce development and education affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers. Their support is invaluable in driving the growth of the manufacturing workforce and empowering future generations.
Happy National Manufacturing Month!

4 个月Very good idea, this brings young people to practical issues at an early age Even here they can be introduced to the blue collar job and the technological progress in the plumbing profession These could be the plumbers of tomorrow who supply buildings with lifelines
