Vidit Shah’s — Curated articles, tech products and Learnings of the week, Issue #36
Experience makes the man! I frequently run into people who are 10–15 years elder to me and I always wondered how do they know so much about their specific line of work? Is it possible for me to get all that knowledge from Google? Answer — No! So how do we leapfrog this learning curve? Honestly, the only way to gain that knowledge is by working in that field. But we don’t live billion years to gather all the knowledge we want. So, here is the hack, get hold of experts in the field that you are interested in, ask them to mentor you if possible. I have made a tonne of mistakes due to lack of proper experience but now I have developed a framework for myself that I use whenever I am working on a new project. I try to get connected with experts, read as much as I possibly can on that field and try to find a mentor. The reason behind writing this newsletter is exactly the same. I am documenting my experience so that someone someday will avoid repeating my mistakes. From now on — BECOME AWESOME!

Help me help you. I don’t want to end up in your spam folder or if you have gmail, your promotions folder. This is where the most annoying emails go and decidedly not where I want to find myself. You can fix this by adding [email protected] to your address book. Or, in gmail, just drag this from the promotions tab to the primary tab. If it asks you to do this for future emails from me, say yes.
