Video Tip: Why YouTube Videos Beat TV Advertising 80% of the Time

Mars UK ran a Snickers marketing campaign in summer 2015 that tested the mix of TV and YouTube video activity in order to understand which drive more sales. The results showed that YouTube delivered more than double the ROI of TV for each pound (UK currency) spent.
Let me repeat, YouTube videos far outperformed TV ads.
Then, Danone’s French campaign for Danette desserts saw an ROI of two to three times higher on YouTube versus TV for every Euro spent. The brand noted that YouTube particularly increased sales among light purchasers of Danette, accounting for 66% of sales within this segment.
Overall, according to the research conducted by BrandScience, Data2Decisions, GfK, Kantar Worldpanel, MarketingScan and MarketShare YouTube beat TV 80% of the time. Watch the video for more details.
