New video technology
The DJI RS 3 Pro
DJI recently launched an upgrade to their RS line of #gimbals. These provide #camera stabilization during movement and have been getting more and more common as they provide the ability to #glide, #tilt, #track and #pan creating much more #cinematic #images.
The new carbon fibre RS3 Pro is a great bit of kit. Not least because it has a much-increased payload which means it can support our FX6 cinemaline cameras, something that previously required a much bigger rig. Our new acquisition is faster, lighter and you can control it from your phone – amazing, plus did we mention its carbon fibre! We’ve been having a lot of fun with it.?

They roast all their own #coffee in house which is a super interesting process and during the early morning filming we got an in-depth insight into the craft. We also managed more than one cup of their excellent coffee whilst we were there (obviously necessary for our filming)!

How valuable are #captions and #subtitles on your video media? Pretty important.
'As much as 85 percent of video views happen with the sound off'
So, captions or sound off design are key! Integrating subtitles can be immensely valuable for many reasons. They offer better #engagement and improve #accessibility; this makes your content more #inclusive, meaning you reach a far wider #audience.
Whether burnt in or supplied as a sidecar file (ask us) if your content isn’t designed to work sound off, like the film above, then subtitles are vital. They make it easier to engage with content and target your audience anytime, anyplace and anywhere without them having to turn the sound on. They also keep your viewers attention and stop them from scrolling by.?

A few weeks ago, #Southend hosted over a hundred artists for a major street #art #festival which saw #paintings covering buildings, walls and temporary displays right across the city centre.
A great event that was both captivating and free! It was a real celebration of all things creative. So, we took the opportunity to head down with our cameras, gimbal and #drone to #document the event.

Who’s getting in the spooky mood?...
In the lead up to #Halloween we have been reminiscing about the film we made last year for Southend’s Halloween #parade.
In a few weeks the parade will return, taking place on Saturday the 29th of #October, so you have plenty of time to ready your costume! 6:00pm at Southend Sea Front.?
Last year’s event was packed and topped off with amazing fireworks. Check out what you can expect on the night this year in our video. We designed this for quick turnaround, prepping our on-screen graphics beforehand and putting our edit together immediately for it to go live next day.
