Video LOLA
LOLAs are Live Online Learning Activities that are inserted in virtual training sessions.
The article below is about one type, called Video LOLA.
This type of LOLA incorporates video recordings as major instructional resources. The LOLA typically requires the participants to watch the video, take notes, and complete follow-up tasks.
The End
The facilitator plays a video that presents a story or a case study. The video is paused before it ends. Teams of participants gather in different breakout rooms and come up with suggestions for the conclusion of the video. Later, the teams return to the main room and present their suggestions. After hearing from different teams, the facilitator plays the rest of the original video. During a debriefing discussion, the participants compare the suggested endings with the real ending.
