We named it "Creative Management Tools"?because when working for the big guys and gals, I had to do the "linear 1-inch video edit dance"?in front of the clients in the editing room, every edit!

A Greased Straight Jacket
I created Electronic StoryBoards? using Apple's Filemaker application. Yup, a database, with fields for the script and description of the content, with effects and transitions. We called it?a greased straight jacket.?But, hold on, Frank, we agreed to the StoryBoard; this?is?the shot; any changes will cost you $$$. It worked like magic, no dancing fool, no arguments, just a signed StoryBoards document and the threat of the all-mighty dollar.

Production
At CMTv, keeping a project within budget and schedule guidelines is a priority. Therefore, we take your cost and time criteria and that of past completed projects of similar scope and profile them against each other. Although every project has different specifications, this comparison is a guideline that has proven effective in the past.?
CMTv’s team has years of experience, and we have produced over 150 hours of quality programming. In addition, our innovative Production Management system allows for total accountability during each project step.
- Before production begins, the client collaborates with the CMTv-provided writer to create a script.?
- The script is broken down into scenes. Next, each scene of the script is matched with a specific shot based on a creative approach provided by the Creative Director.?
- We then produce StoryBoards?: the shots are broken down into common elements: graphic, character generation, and shoot. This script breakdown is again analyzed against a given budget and against the timeline.?
- StoryBoards? is continually reviewed with the client for approval. With client approval in hand, we move into production.
- During production, CMT will send a script supervisor to the studio or remote location to log the time code of each shot into the StoryBoards?. This process is an invaluable management tool for organizing the film shoot and compiling the lists necessary for editing.??
