A Data Management Plan or Data Availability Statement (DAS) specifies how research data ?? will be handled during and after a ??research project. It identifies key actions and strategies to ensure that research data are high-quality, secure, sustainable, and – to the extent possible – accessible and reusable. I explain why and how to develop a Data Management Plan in this video. Creating a DAS is considered good practice for any ??research project using or generating data. After all, planning is the first step toward proper research data management. It is even obligatory for many journal article submissions and funding agencies.
