Video Content Doesn't Need to Be Complicated!

It's 2019! Welcome. While content marketing continues to be the big game in the massive universe that is digital marketing now more than ever video is king. Nearly every major platform is making leaps into the video arena. From old standbys like Twitch and Youtube to newer players like Facebook Watch and even LinkedIn. The ability to connect to audiences through high quality video content has evolved from an optional tool in your digital toolshed to an essential.
For most however the creation of video content seems an intimidating and time consuming endeavor. With so many platforms and new skills required to properly position on each it leaves a lot of businesses hesitant to dive in.
IT'S SMOKE AND MIRRORS
The reality is video content isn't expected to be some highly edited polished Hollywood production anymore. Major players like Gary Vaynerchuk and Casey Neistat have demonstrated that simply chronicling the daily coming and going behind the massive corporations can be highly effective at not only creating brand awareness but also at building community in a notable way.
I decided to debunk the mystique around video content in 2018 and the results have been remarkable. Some notable results in only my first year of dedicated video content creation have been:
- Partnered Youtube channel in first 6 months on the platform
- 2 Keynotes, 3 workshops and dozens of Podcast interviews
- New clients that appreciate the simple approach to community engagement and digital content marketing
- A wealth of high quality converting traffic to my website from Youtube generated search results
There is no doubt in my mind that video content is just going to continue exploding across social networks with IGTV, Facebook Watch, Twitch and Youtube continuing their royal rumble getting your business into the thick of it in 2019 is vital.
Still not sure how to get the ball rolling? No problem! Let me know in the comments below and I would love to direct you to several prominent figures that work alongside companies and corporations to make it happen. Already using video content? Let me know down below what your targets and goals are for 2019!
