Broad Construction were awarded the fit-out of the new 33-storey David Malcolm Justice Centre in the $700m Cathedral and Treasury Precinct.
The office tower building is located at 28 Barrack Street in Perth’s central business district and works comprised the fit-out of levels 2 to 16 (approximately 15,700sqm), plus ground floor and basement areas of the new civil courts for the Supreme Courts of Western Australia.
An interesting and rewarding project which, now complete, houses ten courtrooms, eight hearing rooms, three special trial rooms, numerous interview rooms for civil matters, a law library for the Department of the Attorney General (DotAG), office accommodation for court support personnel and chambers for judges and registrars of the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
Gratitude goes to the companies engaged from our supply chain who carried out works including structural work, all joinery and cabinet work, electrical services, mechanical services, hydraulic services, installation of audio visual equipment, installation of ceilings and flooring materials, coordination of all visual graphical elements of the fit-out, delivery of UPS rooms on all levels, works on the ground floor and basement areas which included a holding cell/security gates, and the installation of the new law library.
