As promised in the last newsletter, here is the second video to help you become a better listener.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your skill in exactly capturing the emotions the other person is experiencing?

Be careful in answering the question too quickly as we like to overestimate our competencies in this soft skill.?

The same goes for listening, we often do not listen enough or allow the other person to finish before we jump in and interrupt.?

Thank you for sharing Giuseppe Conti. In my experience there a no negotiations without emotions, even when they are sometimes not that "visible". Hence, as Guiseseppe describes very well, the succesful negotiator has to practice empathic listening.
