Victory dresses up in somber clothes

Victory dresses up in somber clothes

You have had some challenges, obstacles, difficult moments, and problems. But yet you have survived and still have the potential to live an extraordinary life with Eudaimonia (a good soul).

It is not despite your problems that you have felt joyful moments in your life. On the contrary, it is precisely?because?of adversity that you have gained strength and beauty.

We talked briefly about this when we mentioned Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken objects with gold, to symbolize your healed scars and wounds are some of the most beautiful aspects of who you are. These scars have made you what you are today - strong and full of hope.

And so next time you are scared and face adversity, remember that the most beautiful destinies come?dressed up in the gloomiest clothes.

Victory implies battle—the greater the battle, the greater the glory.

To win, you must play. You cannot stand still, frozen by fear. Go on, go get it! It is your destiny. It is your power! How you face fear is within your control, so take advantage of your own impressions of things.

Remember that courage comes from "C?ur," meaning heart in French. To have courage means to have heart. Courage is not the absence of fear but your ability to act "with HEART (and soul and virtue)" in the face of fear.

Please take a moment today to contemplate what Seneca teaches us:

“He has won without glory who has won without peril. Mucius was tested by fire, Fabricius by poverty, Rutilius by exile, Regulus by torture, Socrates by poison, Cato by death. One cannot find a great examplar except in misfortune.”
