Victor Wooten: solo bass concert; as a benefit to help support South African township organizations, by way of the Milton Jazz Fund.

2 days ago, I posted on Facebook the text below, because it just became news to me that this arrangement, between Milton Academy's Jazz Program and several educational organizations in South Africa, even existed and apparently for quite a while. I applaud it, and I truly hope that this part of their mission keeps on going: https://www.milton.edu/academics/academic-departments/jazz-music/:

"Just in, certainly as news to me, for sure -- shared by way of Bob Sinicrope, the founder and director of Milton Academy's long-running Jazz Program. [As a result, an event page has just been established as we speak, since this is important to know about, IMHO: https://fb.me/e/5mc46zk1u ] Apparently, ALL proceeds from this concert will benefit the following educational programs located in South Africa: the Amy Foundation, Music Academy of Gauteng, Bridges for Music, and Kgothatso Laka Music Academy."
