Expected pay for this position is $66.34 - $87.90/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President of Quality & Safety for OSF Healthcare Saint Francis Medical Center reports to the President of Saint Francis Medical Center and to the Vice President of Quality and Safety Operations in a dual straight line relationship and is responsible for managing our drive to superior clinical outcomes within the region. Working with other Ministry, Regional and Facility clinical leadership, the Vice President of Quality & Safety acting as the Central Region Director of Quality is responsible for the execution of Quality/Safety and other clinical excellence strategies. This individual will have strategic oversight to lead in a dual reporting relationship of the entity(s) Quality and Safety teams in order to drive the Clinical Excellence vision and strategy, and to gather feedback for consideration for refinement of Ministry clinical processes and goals, and to assist and engage caregivers and leadership across the OSF ministry within the care continuum to ensure Mission Partners have the tools and skills needed to achieve zero harm. In addition the Vice President of Quality & Safety oversees the Performance Improvement department, developing the strategy around the development and deployment of PI resources within Saint Francis Medical Center. This role serves as the Administrative liaison with Clinical Engineering and Supply Chain, ensuring that SFMC needs and strategic goals are addressed within these two divisions.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, or related field OR Doctor of Medicine.?

Other:

  • Current licensure in IL within the candidate’s clinical area of expertise
  • 5+ years in healthcare quality and safety in a leadership capacity driving clinical improvement work with progressively increasing responsibility.?
  • Knowledge of Performance Improvement Methodology either through formal training or 5 years’ experience with PI utilizing such tools as DMAIC, DMEDI, RIM and or either PDSA/PDCA.

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Safety, Medical Labratory Technology, or related field.?

Licensure/Certifications?

  • CPPS or CPHQ
