Vice President Harris’ historic week in Africa to highlight women and economic development

CBS Correspondent Michelle Miller and her husband Marc Morial, President of the National Urban League joined Vice President Kamala Harris as part of a delegation visiting Africa (Accra, Ghana - here at Ghanaian State Dinner), to highlight women and economic development.

This is the first time a sitting female, Black and South Asian U. S. Vice President has visited the continent. History in the making.

Harris is fulfilling President Joe Biden”s pledge for him and members of his cabinet to travel to the continent and invest in the region.

Additional delegates includes US Senator Chris Coons of Deleware, filmmakers Spike and Tonya Lee, Morgan State University President David Wilson, civil rights attorney Ben Crump as well as others. Photos are taken at the State Dinner.
