VIBE Coding: Leave everything to AI?
Vibe coding, a new term coined by Andrej Karpathy, cofounder of OpenAI in his recent tweet on X. You just express your vibes to the AI about what you want to finished product to look like and AI does the rest. He even mentions using SuperWhisper that can translate his talk so just say, run, copy paste. He uses SuperWhisper along with cursorAI and says he doesn't even look at the code. I have tried similar thing, without the SuperWhisper(I don't think it can accurately translate my accented English). But he forgets that while the computer does the 'heavy lifting' with coding, translating and fixing bugs, his intervention in terms of expressing what he wants, observing what the AI does and giving feedback on the output, which comes naturally to humans cannot be easily duplicated by AI yet. For humans, this is not intelligence, but just common sense. How do you add common sense to AI?
Actually, lot of work has already been done in this area and many knowledge bases are being setup to add this commonsense reasoning. But still commonsense observations are a long way to go as involves agility and vision which humans absorb through many years of training in the real world during childhood.

Please go through this video and see how far you can go in Vibe coding. With the introduction of agents and tasks, soon you may get to use only commonsense and no intelligence.
