Vexing Issue About Back-to-office
The Most Vexing Issue About Back-to-office
As the Covid shows signs of abating, cities and nations are allowing a cautious re-opening of the economies. Businesses want to get back to full operations and employees are keen to return to that environment that, in spite of the inefficiencies and toxicity, is still a safe haven that many look forward to.
The decision-makers, and the HR Ops teams have a lot to figure out. I am going to bring up just one issue that needs serious attention including legal advice to make sure re-opening does not become a nightmare.
SHOULD YOU ALLOW NON-VACCINATED EMPLOYEES AND VISITORS ON THE PREMISES?
If you do, you may be putting the vaccinated employees at risk and of course, yourself at the risk of getting sued by them. If you don’t, you will need a lot of homework to know exactly your rights to demand the employee vaccination proof and associated medical information, who will ask for it, how, when, how many times, what if someone got vaccinated in a foreign country and so forth. Also, does it infringe on the employee or visitor’s individual choice?
Make sure you have a good grip on this, no matter your size or line of business.
