Serco Group trials electric recycling and refuse vehicles in three Hampshire districts with electrification pioneers VEV and RVS

Serco?is piloting?electric vehicles for waste?and recycling?collection with?VEV.??The vehicles have been refurbished and repowered into as-new electric refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) by refuse collection solution provider?Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd. The?charging infrastructure is provided by?VEV?along with the?management platform VEV-IQ, which ?monitors and tracks performance?during the pilot.

Kent Thameside Fastrack BRT goes electric

Kent County Council?(KCC) appointed?VEV?to design, build and maintain the charging infrastructure for the Thameside Fastrack Electric bus rapid transit (BRT) service.?The electrification features specialist Opportunity Charging with 450kW pantographs that top-up charge the buses in less than 6 minutes at the end of each journey.? GoAhead London is the bus operator and Irizar eMobility is the bus manufacturer.
