Vetruvius Mosaic Inspired Kitchen!

A beautiful stone mosaic resourced @KarenBerkemeyerHome made by @ArtisticTile was the inspiration for this kitchen. The home is located in Carmel, New York near a large reservoir area. Just a lovely old contemporary harkening to a mid century modern vibe.

Here we used and updated style Shaw's farm sink and the vibrant white counter tops with a blue grey veining is the perfect material to offer a quiet background for the featured mosaic. The maintenance free quartz is a plus for the homeowners. What better way to warm up the botanical green tones than satin brass faucets!

These newly installed hardwood floors provide a nice ground for the simple shaker style cabinetry by NAC through Karen Berkemeyer Home. We just love the custom color selected from colors in the mosaic. The sleek and simple lines of this counter stool are perfect for this island seating.

The floating shelf detail provides storage without interfering with the statement of the mosaic. Floating shelves are not always practical. The client has a nice pantry space behind the kitchen which offers an overflow of storage. I also designed a chef's pantry in the kitchen space next to the double oven and warming draws. Very practical zone design.
