Veterans Transition Network - Opportunity to Help

I wanted to share with you something that can help our veterans and their families become stronger as they take on new roles and careers as civilians.  I have been working with the Veterans Transition Network (VTN) and have witnessed a program that works to bring veterans out of places of despair and lives filled with struggle to move into fulfilling civilian roles, family environments and careers.  Not only saving lives, but making them more hopeful and enjoyable.  After being involved first hand, I really get it.

We now need to support those who support veterans by providing some of the tools and concepts that are taught on the VTN Course to the family and friends of our veterans.  This is where you can help.  We are launching a crowdfunding initiative to raise money that will make a portion of those tools available in easy to use videos and materials. So important and such great impact to take care of those who are providing care.

I hope you are interested in this opportunity to help.

I like this item Sherry. I would also invite readers to critically consider one of the reasons for often difficult transitions. While military budgets are often under attack, generally speaking, as employees, Service people have traditionally had good employment and pay and benefit stability. To move to something that often pays significantly less plus no longer affords access to certain rights and privileges, would be difficult for anyone. However these trying transitions are actually clear indicators of broader systemic factors at work in the current international and domestic social-political-and economic environment, namely a very strong downward pressure on wages and working conditions for all. As happened after WWII, hopefully by helping Veterans transition more effectively, safely, and in a healthy manner in a contemporary sense, we can also 'raise the boat' for others in our society who are also similarly often well skilled, experienced but still often under or unemployed. To that end, I encourage any and all readers to donate generously!
