Veterans Day: A Day To Reflect
I am always reminded on this day of the privilege that I have had over my entire professional career to meet those who have served our nation. For all those who live in silent pride, operating on behalf of our families in the clandestine service, I appreciate your sacrifice. I am forever indebted for your commitment to protecting and promoting freedom throughout the world.
In addition, we all know personnel that are deeply embedded with our troops and reservists around the world. Regardless of their pedigree as Government or Civilian, Military or Industry, they are all dedicated to the same mission, and we must always remember their bravery and sacrifices as they work selflessly in the name of freedom.
On this day, I’d ask you to join me in saying “thank you” to the men and women of our armed forces ... soldiers, airman, sailors and marines … we must never forget to applaud those who serve visibly in the defense of our nation. They are the folks who have the courage to show up, to leave their families for something bigger than themselves. Each and every day, we need to take a moment to say thanks, to let them know that what they do for our nation is something bigger than ourselves. And through their service, we will inherit to our children the world’s greatest nation, just like the one that we got from those who gave so much before you.
