Stationed at Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), a critical hub for U.S. military strategy in the Pacific, the U.S.S. Blue Ridge served as both a command center and a proving ground for decision-making under uncertainty. These experiences shaped a mindset that balances precision, adaptability, and strategic vision—qualities I now bring to the day-to-day operations of running a small business focused on data science and analytics.

As I head into 2025, these principles continue to guide my work. In environments like in the middle of the Pacific ocean working with the entire Seventh Fleet, where the interconnectedness of operations was critical, systems thinking was not optional—it was essential. Managing network administration shops, including overseeing all communications—both classified and unclassified—to support intelligence operations and day-to-day fleet readiness required anticipating how changes in one component could ripple across a complex system. This same systems-level perspective informs every project I undertake in data science, where robust solutions depend on understanding how data sources, analytical tools, and outputs interact.
