The Veteran Health Crisis
Welcome back, folks. Last week, I was joined by Tim Jensen , Marine Corps veteran and grunt extraordinaire, on The Hard To Kill Podcast. He's the president of The Gruntstyle Foundation that has created a new initiative called A War Cry for Change: The Revolution to Reclaim Veteran Mental Health. The initiative will address the crisis of overprescribing psychiatric drugs to military veterans and service members, the role this crisis has on the veteran suicide epidemic, and a new path forward to support their mental health needs.
Additionally, Tim's foundation was instrumental in passing the P.A.C.T. Act which allows the VA to recognize exotic cancers and illnesses from toxic exposure in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Big Pharma’s Dirty Little Secrets
Surprise, surprise! Big Pharma's been using prison populations and veterans as guinea pigs. Who would have thought? Evidence of this isn't hard to find. Read this CNN article about secret drug experiments done on American soldiers.
Tim, albeit not a doctor, dials in on the controversies surrounding Suboxone—a drug developed to get off the opiates that they helped us get addicted to. This so-called "medicine" can stick with you for life, kind of like a really bad tattoo. Veterans have been at the forefront of large-scale drug testing for decades.
In Canada, mefloquine poisoning has been a slow-moving disaster for decades. More recently, the COVID-19 "vaccines" that had not gone through the typical 5 year clinical trial period, were unleashed on the Canadian military to prove the therapies were "safe and effective".
SSRIs - More Harm Than Good?
If you're a Global War On Terror veteran, you likely are or know a friend who has been prescribed Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). These drugs are meant to calm the mind and make the bad thoughts go away. The first of these drugs on the market was Prozak in the 1980s. Look what happened with that drug. Ely Lily, the maker of Prozak also paid $1.4Bn in fines for its anti-psychotic medication, Zyprexa (olanzapine).
Now we're supposed to believe that the new SSRI class of drugs are somehow "safe and effective"?
Time doesn't think so, and neither do I.

Health Risks and Burn Pits—Not Your Average Barbecue
Oh, the joys of war—the camaraderie, the honor, and...burn pits?! Tim lays it bare, talking about the unseen illnesses that veterans face: exposure to toxic burn pits, high cancer rates, and the lurking shadow of suicide.
According to the data that Tim has seen, 100% of all veterans who were deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan were toxically exposed due to burn pits. Almost 30% of all those exposed are experiencing some adverse illness.
100% of all deployed members to Iraq and Afghanistan were exposed...30% are developing exotic illnesses.
This topic needs a massive spotlight on it. I'm hoping you can help.
Call to Action
So there you have it, folks. Listen in, get educated, and take action. Grunt Style Foundation and their ‘prescribing veteran suicides’ campaign are making waves and could use your support.
If you're a Canadian veteran and are concerned about toxic exposure, like I am, make sure to subscribe to this channel. I'll be on the warpath to ensure our politicians understand that Veterans Affairs Canada / Anciens Combattants Canada has to recognize we were exposed to more than just IEDs and Taliban bullets when deployed.
And remember
