Hopeful Revival of Sales Market After August Lull
The autumn should see more certainty in the market than the last few months. The slowing of inflation means that multiple interest rate rises are no longer expected, with any future rises potentially priced into existing mortgages. This should mean more confidence from buyers and more stability in prices.?
One feature of the summer was the caution among buyers at the upper end of the market due partly to global economic conditions. While those economic conditions remain a concern, we anticipate many buyers returning to the city in the autumn months and taking advantage of the considerable new stock coming onto the market in the run-up to Christmas.
