The very real benefits of artificial intelligence for document processing
The term ‘Generative AI’ can’t have escaped your attention over the last few months. It’s commonly talked about in terms of its ability to create new types of content such as images and videos. But Generative AI has many other capabilities, some of which are creating new opportunities to greatly enhance operational automation.
One example of this is the use of ‘Generative Agents’ to improve straight-through-processing of documents and cut human intervention in half.
This is promising technology for financial services firms, who still rely on thousands upon thousands of ‘Human APIs’. These workers diligently plug the gaps between systems, manually processing what technology can’t. It’s boring and unfulfilling work, but AI is making it possible to put these workers towards more rewarding and valuable tasks.
While some of this is very forward-looking, AI is already having a huge impact on document processing – just check out this month’s featured case study below.
