Very happy to share our new report - and how to avoid the "Top Ten" issues in RPA delivery

Get ready for robots - Why planning makes the difference between success and disappointment

As one of the global leaders in RPA delivery, and one of the global largest users of RPA as a company, we are increasingly being asked to rescue "failed" RPA projects - our estimate is that between 30-50% of RPA projects are failing. But that still means 50%+ are succeeding, so its not a technology issue...

So I wrote this article, describing the "Top Ten" issues we repeatedly see ... and why the "multiplier effect" of getting several issues wrong can endanger RPA projects further.

Hope you find it useful - and this is just the start of a number of articles that will be coming out over the coming months to help our clients deliver true transformation using RPA as a platform...

Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing this Chris! I am new to RPA but I found it fascinating. This whitepaper gave me a lot ideas.

Great stuff Chris - some really valuable insight here. I couldn't agree more that sound planning makes all the difference. In a similar way that organisations are losing time by using traditional delivery methodologies which are comparatively over-engineered (item 6), we see the application of traditional contracting approaches to RPA failing to cover risks which are avoidable (or can at least be assessed and mitigated) with the right forward-thinking.

Good one Chris, I would like to add to Assuming RPA is all that’s needed to achieve a great ROI. RPA is just a switch to move the needle on efficiency gain- if you consider that as the differentiator, you have missed the point", RPA is just a switch for cost reduction through faster processing and higher accuracy. For persistent gains, RPA needs to be part of wider technology strategy.
