This is a very "Good Deal"

Last week the Government published their white paper on "The Future Relationship between the United Kingdom and the European Union" I think this is a very well judged intervention by our Prime Minister - Not only does it maintain her "red lines" but adds a common "Free Trade" area for goods with "governing standards". For big business this is vital ingredient given our reliance on complicated and efficient cross border supply chains.
Upsetting the Brexit and Remain fanatics in equal measure probably means it is well balanced and is probably the best policy.
A common "free trade" area for goods solves a lot of problems. If this "Free Trade" area is governed by a common rule book - even better. In terms of governance the "rule book" starts by being a copy of the existing EU rulebook - but this can be updated by each party going forward - but only approved when the UK Government and the EU Council agree the changes. We therefore have total democatic control of the process. Any "Free Trade" agreement has a "rule-book" and does not preclude agreeing Trade Agreements with other countries. This is a very clever construct and gets my complete approval.
We do need more work on services - but goods will be the deal breaker
"Extremist Brexiteers" and "Die Hard Remoaners" should stop their sniping from the sidelines and get fully behind the Prime Minister and this plan for a "Sensible" Brexit. Their "noises -off" interventions seem to be more about making trouble and their self interest than doing the best for our country. Now is the time for Boris (and his like) to be quiet !!
The EU negotiators and the EU countries need to accept this "Good Deal" graciously - if they try and block it or amend it Teresa May should suspend negotiations until they see sense. This means no divorce "financial settlement" - nothing is agreed until everything is agreed. The EU needs to feel the pain and understand what they will lose - if they dont agree with this proposal.
From now until we leave - we should be playing "hard ball" and making no more concessions to the EU. All MPs and commentators need to stand up and fully support the Prime Minister. This should be a "3 line whip" for all MPs from whatever party and they need to support the PM and her policy "in the national interest"
In my opinion "non support" is treasonable and MPs will be called to account at the next General Election . Have a read of the White Paper and I think it is a proposal that most reasonable people and patriots could get behind
I dont tend to blog about politics - but this is important and needs supporting
