Be Very Careful With How You Speak to Anyone, but Especially Your Kids!

One book that has had a big influence on how I think, act, and treat people is “The Hidden Messages of Water” by Dr. Masaru Emoto. I know, I know….Dr. Emoto sounds like some villain from a James Bond movie, but you’d be very wrong!

Emoto has done some amazing research over the last 20 years, and he is most famous for the book referenced above.

Our planet, as you may know, is over 70% water. Surprisingly, a human being is about that also!  I guess I now have an excuse for being “wishy washy”? Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

His research is how sound and even words effect water when it is frozen into ice crystals. His before and after’s, to say the least, are amazing!

His photos of how water (as ice crystals) reflect the playing of Mozart or Vivaldi….as compared to loud rock music, will probably make you send your child to a monastery after viewing them!

But just as important, is how certain words or emotions have a devastating effect on how water reacts also.   So calling your 15-year old a knuckle-head (even if it is true), or something worse can have long term effects.

So, if you are in the field of selling, communicating, teaching, or parenting…you might want to put this book on your list of “must reads”.

I found this book very interesting, but also a difference maker in how I did business...and how I wanted to communicate!
