Vertical integration: the added value of Anicrin Service
ANICRIN S.R.L.
In vitro diagnostic devices and medical tools for bacteriology and pharmaceuticals. To discover, together.
We have often talked about how Anicrin has changed and improved in the last three years, referring to the many small elements with which we have laid the foundations of an innovative and continuously evolving path. Because, as those who enter our production department can read, we believe that a winner is a dreamer who never gives up, as Nelson Mandela used to say.?
We are not lacking in initiative, and the goal we are aiming for is to become a privileged interlocutor for our customers. How? Through a complete customized product. To this end, we have taken on another challenge of Industry 4.0: vertical integration. From here to the creation of a new division, Anicrin Service, the step was short.
Strengthening the value chain?
Vertical integration is a key element of the smart factory. It involves internalizing the various stages of a production process, from design to post-sales, including logistics and marketing.?
The degree of vertical integration can be total or partial, depending on how many operations the company decides to carry out internally. The turning point of Anicrin Service?
The molding of plastic materials for the biomedical sector has been Anicrin's core business since its inception in the 1980s. With a clear need for a change of approach with the advent of Industry 4.0, we asked ourselves if we could do more for our customers. The answer (also) came in the form of vertical integration, and so, alongside the "standard" offer, we introduced Anicrin Service. Effectively, we combined our expertise in plastics with a 360-degree study of customers’ projects to support them in every phase of development.?
The challenge led us to raise the quality level, and the results did not take long to come. For example, we created custom test tubes for the reagent developed by the customer, verifying the seal integrity for the validity of the final test and for safe delivery. Focusing on the shape and refinement of the piece, we also developed a device for blood sample collection, both capillary and from a test-tube, which is incredibly precise in terms of the quantity of sample collected.
What distinguishes our vertical integration
There are numerous factors that allow us to offer a personalized and complete product to analysis laboratories and pharmaceutical companies. Among these:???????
Quality control, through state-of-the-art equipment, and the preservation of control samples are also highly relevant, both in the short and long term.
Last but certainly not least is the human factor. If we have been able to follow small pilot projects to large series productions, keeping the production chain within the company, it is above all thanks to our operators. Test after test, our know-how has improved. Furthermore, technological integration between MES and BI has made communication between various departments more effective, and response times to problems quicker.
