How To Secure the MSI Contract Readiness Prize and up to $300K for Your Institution

The U.S. Department of Energy’s MSI Contract Readiness Prize aims to foster a sustainable funding source by guiding universities and colleges in successfully securing federal contracts. To win, competitors will need to show they have increased their level of contract readiness, which we are helping to support through our “Funding Futures Webinar Series .” Participants will have the opportunity to develop a clear plan of action, including identifying the basic steps involved in building a contract pipeline. The program encourages applications from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander–Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs), community colleges, and Emerging Research Institutions (ERIs). There are only two webinars left—don’t wait to register!

Higher Education Stakeholders: Be the First To Hear About the New VentureWell Fellowship

As we transition to the new VentureWell fellowship program , we carry forward the legacy of our Course & Program Grants (C&P). This new chapter will build on our 28 years of success, continuing to empower educators, inspire students, and foster a culture of innovation & entrepreneurship (I&E) on campuses nationwide. VentureWell C&P Grants recipients took a follow-up survey in the fall of 2023. Survey results showed our grants have had a transformative impact on faculty, with 71% reporting significant positive changes in their teaching and mentoring capabilities. Notably, 31% of grantees leveraged their C&P Grants funding to secure additional support from prestigious sources like the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and industry partners. While most of our survey findings were extremely positive, we continue to strive for deeper institutional impact and change in higher education I&E. Sign up for our waitlist for news and updates on the new VentureWell fellowship!
