Meet the Spring 2024 Aspire Climatetech Cohort

We are thrilled to announce the 16 seed-stage startups chosen for the Spring 2024 cohort of our Aspire Climatetech investor-engagement program. Selected for innovations that demonstrate a clear positive impact, these companies will explore five weeks of customized training and work closely with investor-mentors to dig deep into the due diligence process. By the end of the program, participants will build out their deal room materials and develop a viable fundraising plan. Aspire Climatetech is a hybrid program that will take place virtually, culminating in a two-day workshop June 26-27 at Greentown Labs in Houston, Texas. We invite you to learn more about their impactful solutions: One innovation is a conductive concrete that can enable energy storage, electronic vehicle charging, and Wi-Fi connectivity; another is a low-cost solar panel platform restoring ocean ecosystems by adding to reef habitats.

There Are Two Weeks Left To Apply for the DEBUT Challenge—and a $160,000 Prize Pool

Last year , five 美国普渡大学 students won First Place—and $20,000—as part of the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering’s Design by Biomedical Undergraduate Team (DEBUT) Challenge . They dubbed their novel invention EpicPen, a low-cost epinephrine auto-injector with the aim of increasing access to the life-saving drug for low-income families. Unlike other injectors on the market, EpicPen’s spring-loaded mechanism enables reuse, lowering the cost necessary for multiple injections. Submissions are open for the next DEBUT Challenge through May 31. Prizes of up to $20,000 will be awarded to student teams in undergraduate biomedical education that are addressing pressing challenges facing the healthcare field.

Personalized One-to-One Networking Opportunities at the 13th Annual Deshpande Symposium

A unique highlight of the Deshpande Symposium is its size—with more than 200 attendees on average, the conference intentionally makes space to encourage partnership with both formal and informal networking sessions. Attendees are able to forge new connections and discover solutions to common challenges. This allows for many dynamic, impromptu conversations. “The smaller size of this conference was actually an asset, as it allowed for everyone to network with each other,” a past participant noted. Don’t wait—secure your ticket for the 13th Annual Deshpande Symposium! We look forward to having you join us June 12-14 at the 美国马里兰大学帕克分校 .
