Great couple of days in Ventura County this past week, as we were given a quick tutorial and multiple tours of the Ventura Training Center and just as important, meeting persons from the Anti Recidivism Coalition (ARC). Pictured are Myself, Scott Budnick from the BSCC (some may recognize him from his actual full time job) and Cal Fire Regional Chief, along with soooooo many others in attendance and able to fulfill Governor Jerry Brown’s concept to end recidivism as part of AB 109. Yes, and quite aware of the pros and cons surrounding this “idea,” but being there, listening to the success stories, interacting with Guidance Counselors and viewing the discipline associated with the VTC allows the long term approach envisioned and proper pathway to end recidivism.
