Venice Design 2019

Pioneer event VENICE DESIGN is the largest International Design exhibition running alongside La Biennale di Venezia. From May 11th to November 24th 2019, the fourth consecutive edition of VENICE DESIGN.

GHYCZY has been invited to show 2 iconic products at the biennale 2019; the chair Jodie designed 1986 and one of the latest designs by Peter Ghyczy the in- outdoor chair Audrey. Both products are made in limited series in the atelier GHYCZY still under supervision of Peter Ghyczy (now 78 years old). Products which are made to last, in a constructive and emotional way.

About the armchair Audrey: Playful construction of solid wooden rods and metal tubing is made possible by a special joinery between wood and metal. The loose seat and backrest cushions can be adjusted to meet your personal preference. Whether it is to lounge or to sit upright; the designer likes to offer the customer autonomy to make his own choice. The arm chair has a conical shape, it is wider in the front. Audrey (Modelnr. GP05) is an extraordinary light weight chair and a signature piece of Peter Ghyczy.
