When it comes to a company’s requirement to onboard an eLearning vendor or partner to fulfil the project objectives, there comes a lot of questions in the Client’s mind. Well, that’s normal & that’s in fact required to ensure the decision taken is correct and it gets the desired results. What are those questions?

1.??????How do I shortlist & select a vendor?

2.??????How do I guarantee that the vendor has the capabilities to fulfil my project objectives?

3.??????Can the vendor deliver the learning experience required for a specific project?

4.??????Can the vendor take my broad requirements and come up with creative ideas around the design & functionality of the eLearning module(s)?

5.??????Can the ideas around the eLearning module(s) meet my users’ training goals?

6.??????Will the vendor make the entire design & development process transparent so that I have a real time idea of where we are with the project & how the various course assets are shaping up?

7.??????Is the vendor’s estimation within my budget & timeline?

8.??????What is the vendor’s policy or methodology around content updates I may require for delivered eLearning module in the future?

9.??????How do I ensure that the data I supply to the vendor is secured & safe?

10.??Do I get the published course package & all the source assets/files when the eLearning module is delivered & approved?

11.??How do I ensure that vendor doesn’t give any negative surprises during the course of action?

Depending on your company policies and project requirements, you may add more questions to this list. That said, these are the core questions one must ask while assigning work to a vendor.

Wow Satyabrata, it's absolutely thrilling to witness such engaging discussions taking place on this platform! As someone who works in the same industry, I can totally relate to the confusion that clients experience when it comes to selecting vendors - it's quite baffling! I completely agree with you that the approach should be simple - just analyze the vendor's experience, approachability, confidence, and of course, costing :) Collaborating with others is always a joyous journey, especially when you have faith in each other and establish a strong relationship. Life is full of risks, but if you trust your instincts and be the flow, things usually work out for the best. These are just my thoughts, as we are e Learning vendors and you touched our soul :)
