About Tickr

I’m so excited to partner up with Tickr to put this event on. But who is Tickr?

Tickr is a consumer investment app for people who want to invest in socially responsible opportunities. As everyone knows, the world is full of large-scale social and environmental problems. Businesses are emerging to try and solve them, but they need investment. Tickr aims to connect those businesses to people who want to get a return on their investment, but also want to create a better future for us all.

Tom McGillycuddy is one of the co-founders behind Tickr and he’ll be presenting the event with me. He was at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, so he has a strong background in finance. He started Tickr as a side-hustle, working on his idea in the mornings before pulling 12-hour days at Barclays! It’s safe to say Tom has the entrepreneurial spirit.

Plus, Tom’s from the North West, so he’s got to be worth a look!

Why we’re linking up with Tickr

One of the great things about running Venatrix and placing so many people in their first sales role is that I’m genuinely helping to change lives. I’m helping young people take their first step into a great career where they can achieve anything they want to, while also earning decent money.

I’m concerned with what our candidates do with the money they’re earning now. It’s never too early to start thinking about investing for the future. That’s where Tickr comes in. If our young people can get a return on investment and help save the world at the same time, that’s a win-win.
