The job of a Vehicle Mechanic
As part of a team of specialists in our HiTech bodyshop you will undertake the mechanical repair of damaged vehicles in accordance with the correct repair methodology as well as accurately recording work completed on each vehicle. It is also the role of the Vehicle Mechanic to identify additional repair work not defined on original job card and to liaise with the estimator and workshop controller to ensure such work is completed and recorded. You will also observe and adhere to health and safety and housekeeping standards so as to ensure a safe working environment. We are VAG approved so this makes it a very exciting environment to work in.
You will report into the General Manager, who has been at Nationwide for over 25 years. She has worked her way through most roles in the industry so knows and understands the daily challenges. She is as passionate about Customers as she is about her team and is absolutely determined to make her Bodyshop the best in group.

What we think good looks like
As a Vehicle Mechanic we would like you to have an interest and passion in what we do. We would also appreciate it if you had your own stocked toolbox, excellent job knowledge and be highly motivated. Naturally, due to the nature of the job you will need to have a full UK/EU Driving Licence and the relevant qualifications for the job: NVQ Level 1, 2 & 3 qualification or be a time served technician. You will also need experience in a body shop or accident repair environment. We will help and support you with the rest
